Advancements in Disaster Response through Telemedicine and Emergency Medical Operating System (TELEMED-EMOS)Integration: A Narrative Review.

Abstract

Rationale: The amalgamation of telemedicine and the Emergency Medical Operating System (TELEMEDEMOS)
has surfaced as a pivotal tactic for augmenting preparedness for disasters, re ning healthcare service
accessibility, and alleviating the aftermath of calamities on public health. Objective: To better understand
how telemedicine and emergency medical operating system TELEMED-EMOS can advance disaster
response, this study will focus on their bene ts for medical triage, remote consultations, resource allocation,
and patient care delivery in emergency scenarios. Method(s): To assess the present state of research,
pinpoint important discoveries, and provide evidence-based insights into the function of strategy in disaster
management, a thorough evaluation of the literature on telemedicine, emergency medical operating system,
disaster response, was carried out. Results: Improvements in reaction times, patient outcomes, and the
e ectiveness of healthcare delivery were among the noteworthy developments in TELEMED-EMOS enabled
disaster response that the analysis uncovered. In disaster-a ected areas, TELEMED-EMOS have the potential
to optimize resource usage, shortened triage procedures, and enabled remote medical consultations.
Conclusions: By enabling healthcare providers to provide prompt and coordinated medical care to a ected
populations, TELEMED-EMOS can provide invaluable tools for improving disaster preparedness, response,
and recovery e orts. The integration of TELEMED-EMOS technologies into emergency medical operations
holds promise for enhancing healthcare resilience and reducing the impact of disasters on public health.
Recommendations: Stakeholders are advised to prioritize investment in communications infrastructure,
interoperability standards, training programs, and regulatory frameworks supporting TELEMED-EMOS integration
practice in order to optimize their potential in disaster response. Fostering global cooperation, joint
research projects, and knowledge-sharing programs can also help in crisis management and the acceptance
and usage of the strategy.
